Coax Crimp Class 10/02

On Thursday October 2nd SMRA is holding a Coax Crimp class where you can learn how to crimp/solder a PL-259 connector onto RG-8X coax cable. The training window is from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. You can arrive anytime in that window. If you have never crimped Coax before or if it’s been a while, be sure to allow at least 30 up to 60 minutes to complete the crimp.

Materials and a tool kit were donated by Engineering. If you have your own kit, feel free to bring it. Multiple instructors will be available to assist in crimping. Please RSVP for the event by reaching out to Jack Himes jack.himes@verizon.net or 717-329-3793.

We will be meeting at the Emergency Services Training Academy (AKA the Field Day site). This is on the way to the EOC if you are coming from Trindle Road past Sheetz.
