Our Meet the Mentors (MTM) recently took over the beautiful Long Shot Winery in Carlisle for a successful hands-on build session. We had a fantastic turnout, bringing together seasoned Elmer’s and brand-new hams to construct 2-meter ground plane antennas.
These antennas are a staple of the hobby; simple to build, yet incredibly effective for hitting local repeaters with clarity. Under the guidance of Chaz Smith, who did an outstanding job coordinating the event and securing this unique location, members learned the nuances of antenna resonance and assembly.
